We decided to cycle the Royal Canal Greenway to Longford. The obvious starting point for us was Maynooth. There were four of us, two of us had our own e-bikes so we needed to hire two e-bikes. We were given Brendan’s number for Ethical Tours and contacted him. He organised what we needed (e-bikes, panniers and chargers). As we were travelling from Dublin we took the commuter train to Maynooth from Connolly station. We met Brendan in Maynooth, literally a 3 minute walk from the train station. Picked up the bikes and headed off. We were cycling to Mullingar day 1 and then on to Longford Day 2. The route was well laid out and in great condition. Lovely cycle all along the Royal Canal with very little or no interaction with car traffic. We have been cycling in Europe each year using e-bikes for the about 9 years and the ones we hired from Brendan were brilliant. As mentioned we had two of our own e-bikes but next time if we do this route again we would definitely hire the Ethical Tours e-bikes as they were far superior to our own. At the end of our journey in Longford Brendan collected the two hired bikes at the train station and everything went smoothly. Brendan from Ethical Tours couldn’t have been more helpful. We hired bikes from Ethical Bike Tours for our family trip to Center Parcs and had a fantastic experience. Brendan was so helpful, friendly and accommodating from start to finish. The bikes were great and very reasonably priced.

The kids’ favourite part of the whole trip was actually having bikes and being able to go cycling together as a family. It made getting around Center Parcs so much easier and added so much fun to our break.

A thoroughly enjoyable day cycling the Royal Canal Greenway from Maynooth to Moyvalley.

Janice and I had not been on bikes for about 25 years, so hiring e-bikes from Ethical Tours e-bikes proved a very good decision, particularly on a hot day. The 25km route took us about two hours and was flat, easy to follow and very pleasant throughout.

Brendan and Bill at Ethical Tours e-bikes were excellent. They talked us through the best route, helped us judge a sensible distance given our lack of recent cycling experience, and Bill gave us a very helpful introduction to using the e-bikes when we collected them. The bikes themselves were modern, comfortable and made the whole experience remarkably easy.

Fury’s Pub in Moyvalley also deserves a mention. A cold Guinness and a lovely lunch were extremely welcome after the ride, and it makes an excellent stopping point for anyone travelling this section of the Greenway.

Full marks all round to Waterways Ireland for the Royal Canal Greenway, Ethical Travel e-bikes for making the cycling so straightforward, and Fury’s for providing the perfect finish to a very enjoyable morning.

Centre Parcs had no mobility scooters available and I badly needed one having had a recent hip replacement surgery. Ethical Tours came to the rescue and I was able to enjoy my stay because otherwise I would have been unable to walk around the Park having booked 2 houses for a family break. Ethical Tours absolutely excellent service. We rented a mobility scooter while staying in Center Parks in Longford. No scooter was available during our stay in CP. I called Brendan from Ethical tour, within 20 minutes the mobility scooter was delivered. Excellent service, highly recommend.. efficient and totally hassle free.

Hired a mobility scooter from Ethical Tours after there was no availability to hire them at Center Parcs for the Aug bank holiday weekend. My mum recently had a hip replacement so would have struggled with the long walks around Center Parcs. Brendan saved the day and supplied us with a top of the range mobility scooter at short notice and a good price. We had a fantastic experience with Brendan & Ethical tours. He provided bikes to a group of six families and everything went smoothly. Bikes looked brand new & price to rent for 3 days was considerably cheaper than what Center Parcs was offering. Collecting & returning the bikes at Center parcs was simple and hassel-free and Brendan was reliable, friendly and a pleasure to deal with. Will definitely use Brendan again when we return and would recommend.
