Inclusive Travel at Ethical Tours
Everyone Belongs on the Journey
At Ethical Tours, inclusivity is at the heart of everything we do. Our mission is to ensure that every guest, regardless of age, ability, or background, can enjoy authentic adventures in Ireland’s Hidden Heartlands. We believe that travel should be open, accessible, and enriching for everyone, and we’ve designed our experiences and facilities to reflect that promise.

How We Make Travel Inclusive
- E-Mobility Scooters:Â We offer specially designed scooters for guests with restricted mobility, ensuring everyone can experience our scenic routes in comfort and safety.
- Diverse Bike Fleet:Â With 50 electric bikes and 40 manual bikes, as well as child seats, tag-alongs, and trailers, we cater for all ages and abilities.
- Adaptive Tours:Â All routes can be tailored to avoid steps or uneven terrain, and we can adapt the pace and itinerary to suit the needs of your group.
- Expert Guides:Â Our local guides are experienced in supporting guests with diverse needs, providing patient, friendly assistance throughout every tour.
- Garmin Navigation:Â For guests preferring independence, our self-guided tours use Garmin GPS devices loaded with accessible routes for both cycling and walking.
- Inclusive Group Options:Â We welcome individuals, families, friend groups, schools, and corporate teams - all activities can be tailored for mixed-ability groups.
- Accessible Premises:Â Our new building includes step-free access, wide doorways, and near by accessible parking bays.
- Fully Accessible Website:Â Once our rebuild is complete, our website will meet all EU accessibility guidelines, making it easy to find information and book online.
- Partner Network:Â For water-based activities, we partner with Alan Yipee Kayaks who supply all necessary adaptive equipment and instruction.
- Choice of electric or manual bike, e-mobility scooter, or walking tour
- All safety equipment - including helmets, high-visibility vests, and emergency support
- Garmin device for self-guided tours (cycling or walking)
- Local well water and homemade energy bar
- Friendly guides trained in inclusive tourism best practices

Every traveller is unique. We encourage guests to contact us directly to discuss individual needs or request additional support—whether that’s mobility requirements, neurodivergent-friendly guides, language preferences, or other accommodations.
Our Commitment
- Non-Discrimination:Â Everyone is welcome, regardless of age, gender, ability, ethnicity, religion, or orientation.
- Continuous Improvement:Â We regularly review our practices and seek guest feedback to enhance accessibility and inclusion.
- Community Collaboration:Â We work with local providers, disability advocates, and the wider hospitality sector to expand opportunities for accessible tourism in Longford and beyond.
